Plugging My Own App: Shedooby

As a web developer and business owner, I’ve learned that if I don’t advocate for my own work, no one else will. So here’s a quick plug for Shedooby, the iOS app I created and actively use myself.

Shedooby is an 8-week mental and physical boot camp for your life. It combines self-denial (staying off social media and alcohol) with clear Mission Goals — one professional, one personal/hobby, and one fitness goal. Each day you complete your practices, you slowly reveal a hidden image tied to that goal. It’s designed to build real discipline, quiet the mind, and deliver tangible results.

I’m currently 5+ weeks into my latest 8-week commitment. Even a weeklong vacation to Aruba didn’t break my streak. I kept up my fitness practices (push-ups, leg lifts, snorkeling, hiking, and yoga) and continued progressing toward my goals, thanks to the flexible hidden-image system that lets you extend beyond the strict 56 days when life happens.

I recently designed and ordered my first Shedooby t-shirt (I’m wearing it right now). It turned out great — comfortable fit, fast delivery, and very reasonably priced. I’ve added a Shopify store to shedooby.com so you can grab one too if you like the design.

If you’re tired of constant mind chatter, doom-scrolling, and scattered focus, Shedooby might be exactly what you need. It’s helped me achieve visible physical improvements, better mental clarity, and steady progress on my own goals — even at 60 (hard to believe six decades have passed, Jeez!).

I built it because I needed it. Maybe you do too.
